Cycle with care

The city council leader is promising zero tolerance of cyclists who ride along Bridge Street. Again it is a minority who tear along the street narrowly avoiding pedestrians - but that minority is large enough to cause real concern. The vast majority of cyclists are entirely responsible. The council must improve signage and the possibility of a cycleway through the city centre should be explored again. But the rule is the rule so any riders caught speeding along Bridge Street will only have themselves to blame. >Mark Edwards >@PT Mark Edwards
