Music for a summer’s evening
Following the huge success of their inaugural course last year, the Peterborough Youth Orchestra has, once again, been meeting this week for the annual Summer Workshop. All the young musicians are aged 19 and under and play at grade 6 and above. They are led by musical director; Robin Norman, assisted by specialist tutors in Strings, Woodwind, Brass and Percussion. The orchestra’s intensive course over four days at Ormiston Bushfield Academy culminates in a special gala concert - “MUSIC FOR A SUMMER’S EVENING” – performed in St. John the Baptist Church, in Cathedral Square, tomorrow (Friday). at 7.30pm. Tickets from the Peterborough Visitor Information Centre, Bridge Street, Peterborough and cost just £5.00 with free seats for children and students.
