Mu­sic for a sum­mer’s evening

Fol­low­ing the huge suc­cess of their in­au­gu­ral course last year, the Peter­bor­ough Youth Orches­tra has, once again, been meet­ing this week for the an­nual Sum­mer Work­shop. All the young mu­si­cians are aged 19 and un­der and play at grade 6 and above. They are led by mu­si­cal di­rec­tor; Robin Nor­man, as­sisted by spe­cial­ist tu­tors in Strings, Wood­wind, Brass and Per­cus­sion. The orches­tra’s in­ten­sive course over four days at Or­mis­ton Bush­field Acad­emy cul­mi­nates in a spe­cial gala con­cert - “MU­SIC FOR A SUM­MER’S EVENING” – per­formed in St. John the Bap­tist Church, in Cathe­dral Square, to­mor­row (Fri­day). at 7.30pm. Tick­ets from the Peter­bor­ough Vis­i­tor In­for­ma­tion Cen­tre, Bridge Street, Peter­bor­ough and cost just £5.00 with free seats for chil­dren and stu­dents.
