Music for a summer’s evening

Following the huge success of their inaugural course last year, the Peterborou­gh Youth Orchestra has, once again, been meeting this week for the annual Summer Workshop. All the young musicians are aged 19 and under and play at grade 6 and above. They are led by musical director; Robin Norman, assisted by specialist tutors in Strings, Woodwind, Brass and Percussion. The orchestra’s intensive course over four days at Ormiston Bushfield Academy culminates in a special gala concert - “MUSIC FOR A SUMMER’S EVENING” – performed in St. John the Baptist Church, in Cathedral Square, tomorrow (Friday). at 7.30pm. Tickets from the Peterborou­gh Visitor Informatio­n Centre, Bridge Street, Peterborou­gh and cost just £5.00 with free seats for children and students.
