Con­cert in aid of St John’s Church

On Oc­to­ber 1, The Gilden­burgh Choir, one of the most suc­cess­ful mixed voice choirs within the Peter­bor­ough area, is to hold an Au­tumn Con­cert to help raise funds to re­pair the much loved or­gan in St John the Bap­tist Church, Cathe­dral Square, Peter­bor­ough. The choir will be joined by the City of Peter­bor­ough Con­cert Band, a lively and dy­namic group of lo­cal mu­si­cians. Re­pairs have al­ready started and the or­gan is com­pletely out of ac­tion at present. It is hoped that with sup­port to raise funds it will be ready for use for the Christ­mas ser­vices this year. The con­cert on Oc­to­ber 1, com­mences at 7.30pm in St John’s Church, Cathe­dral Square. Tick­ets cost £8, ac­com­pa­nied chil­dren free.
