Concert in aid of St John’s Church

-

On October 1, The Gildenburgh Choir, one of the most successful mixed voice choirs within the Peterborough area, is to hold an Autumn Concert to help raise funds to repair the much loved organ in St John the Baptist Church, Cathedral Square, Peterborough. The choir will be joined by the City of Peterborough Concert Band, a lively and dynamic group of local musicians. Repairs have already started and the organ is completely out of action at present. It is hoped that with support to raise funds it will be ready for use for the Christmas services this year. The concert on October 1, commences at 7.30pm in St John’s Church, Cathedral Square. Tickets cost £8, accompanied children free. These are available from Wendy Dyer in St John’s Church on Wednesday and Saturday mornings or from Barbara Pickering on 01733 750052.
