That’s what David Fo­ley did. He was a War­rant Of­fi­cer in my re­cent pa­rade pic­ture and joined us for the re­union in Au­gust.

He told me: “VIPs were at the time of the pa­rade: AOCnC of RAF Strike Com­mand, who went onto be­come Chief of the De­fence Staff: Mar­shal of the Royal Air Force. Lord Craig of Radley.

“Lady Craig was also a guest at the Free­dom Cer­e­mony as per the photo.

“Also pic­tured were First Gun­ner Derek Sum­mers then it’s Ken Jones and Paddy Wil­loughby.”
