Help shape future of hospice care

Residents are being invited to help shape the future of hospice care in the region.
Having expanded services over the past year and with ambitious plans to extenditsreachevenfurtherin the future, ThorpeHall Hospice, in Longthorpe, is introducing a service user group called Impact to ensure the views of patients, carers and the community are heard.
Hospice director Jane Petit said: “As a national charity Sue Ryder has a boardoftrustees butImpact will bealocal groupworking specifically at Thorpe Hall. We will be looking to the grouptoprovideuswithapatient and carer perspective on our services and plans.”
Aswell as attendingregular monthlymeetings, members of Impact may also be asked to get involved in the appointment of senior staff, attendance at internal hospice meetings and ongoing training.
