It’s been a great journey with DMac

-

Last week’s column celebrated Darragh MacAnthony’s 10 years as Posh chairman... There are many things on which I disagree with Darragh MacAnthony on, but I appreciate and thank him for the stability he has brought to the club. Bob Tanner It has been a helter-skelter ride, but it never gets boring! I really appreciate Darragh’s openness (both of word and pocket). The biggest problem Posh have got are the moaners, but there again, they are everywhere. As Swanny says, Darragh, ignore them.

Bobby Posh I would like to see something done by Peterborough City Council about the outrageously large amount of rent the club pays whilst the landlord does not fix the numer- ous things wrong with the stadium. Talk is cheap. Once PCC bought the ground they should have ensured it was of a decent quality ongoing.

Adi Mowles It really is a pity the city hasn’t boughtin to this project in the same way Darragh has. He has pretty well stuck to his word on all things from day one but, for some reason the Peterborough public have not. But what I do know is that it’s been a great journey, the like of which many, many other lower league clubs would have snatched your hand off to have been on.

Wisdom from Rutland I certainly don’t subscribe to the borderline hero worship, but it can’t be denied that Darragh has overseen the most exciting spell in the club’s history and for that we should be grateful.
