Limetree are back on the Sunday scene

Limetree’s return to the Sunday scene ended badly as they lost 3-1 in the Premier Division to newly-promoted Cardea. Rob Ames, Marius Balosu and Kieran Hart scored for Cardea, Dan Fountain for Limetree. Sunday’s Championsh­ip North division fixtures produced a feast of goals with four teams reaching double figures. Top scorers were new team P&L Motors Diamonds, who hammered Thurlby Tigers 13-0. Leading the way on the scoresheet was Emma Pollard with four goals. Ketton weren’t far behind. They beat Boston United 12-2 with Fran Kavanagh finding the back of the net five times.
