Man rushed to hos­pi­tal af­ter car­diac ar­rest at nurs­ery

Emer­gency ser­vices were called to Sawtry DayNurs­ery af­tera­man­suf­feredac­ar­diac ar­rest.

Po­lice, the Mag­pas Air Am­bu­lance and the East of Eng­land Am­bu­lance Ser­vice were all called to the scene at 2.50pm on Monday.

Dawn Quince, early years man­ager at the day nurs­ery, said: “De­spite there be­ing lots of ac­tiv­ity and sev­eral emer­gency ve­hi­cles just out­side the nurs­ery, staff did an amaz­ing job shield­ing the chil­dren from the scene.

“Ourthought­sand­prayers are with this man and his fam­ily.”

The man was taken to Pe­ter­bor­ough City Hos­pi­tal by land am­bu­lance for fur­ther treat­ment.

His con­di­tion was de­scribed as be­ing ‘life threat­en­ing.’
