Awesome foursome for Hope
Peterborough Triathlon Club (PACTRAC) member Steve Hope completed his personal “Eeyore Challenge” of four long distance races abroad in four consecutive weekends when completing the Basel Marathon in Switzerland in 3:46:47 at the weekend.
“Originally it was supposed to be four half-marathons,” said Hope, “but somehow I got persuaded to turn two of them into full marathons. It ‘s beenavery enjoyable month.”

BRJ Duathlon, Abbots Ripton (run 3 miles, bike 12.5 miles, run 3 miles): 37 Paul Jephcott 77:09; 48 Rob Stokes 79:36. Roade Triathlon, near Northampton (swim 414 metres, bike 12 miles, run 3 miles): 96 Nicholas Partridge 76.46; 165 Debora Leininger 90.03. British Long Distance Swimming Championships, River Great Ouse, Lynn Regis (2.8km): Amy Mellor 2nd female.
