Posh clap a Cobbler

Former Posh favourite Gaby Zakuani was happy with the reception he received from homefansbeforeandafterhis first appearance in a Northampton shirt at the ABAX Stadium.

But the centre-back wanted muchmore. A3-0Poshwin hurt him badly.

“I came for three points, that was the main thing,” Zakuani stated. “But the Posh fans applauded me before the game and sang my name after it which was very good of them. I’m glad they remembered the service I gave the club and the community.

“We’re disappointed with the result. There wasn’t as muchbetweenthesidesas3-0 suggested, but there are fine margins in League One and things just didn’t go for us on the night.”
