Pizza death jury retire

The jury have started their deliberation sin the trial of am an accused of the manslaughter of a pizza delivery driver.
Ali Qasemi was killed in May when he went to deliver pizza to an address in Shrewsbury Court, Peterborough.
The 45-year-old father died of head injuries later.
Mark Lintott (29) of Shrewsbury Avenue, Orton Longueville, denies charges of manslaughter and robbery.
A trial, which has lasted more than a week, has heard Joel Lawson (25) of HMP Peterborough, has pleaded guilty to manslaughter and robbery.
The court was told Lawson punched Mr Qasemi once, causing him to fall back and bang his head in the early hours of May 8.
Gregory P err ins told the jury Lin tot tc all ed to order the pizzas, but gave a false address to the shop. The address does not exist.
He said the prosecution’s case was this was because he planned to take the pizzas without paying for them.
After Qasemi was assaulted, he was left in the street until a pass er-by spotted him, and an ambulance was called.
He was taken first to Peterborough City Hospital, and then to Addenbrooke’s, but died from his injuries.
The jury started their deliberations at Peterborough Crown Court on Tuesday.
They will return this morning to continue to discuss their verdicts.
