Charity fund passes £500,000 milestone
Construction supplier delighted at fundraising success
Bosses at construction industry supplier Mick George say they are delighted with the success of its community fund campaign. ThesecondroundoftheMick George Community Fund has just ended with £275,000 distributed to community projects and initiatives. It takes the total donated this year to £500,000.
The projects awarded spanthreecountiesandserve varioussportandcommunity ventures.
Jon Stump, finance director at Mick George, said: “Being able to provide support at anylevelisimmenselysatisfy- ing, but for us to reach such levels this year is a tremendous effort for all involved.
“Over the years the business has been fortunate to be involved with some wonder- ful projectsthathavepositively contributed towards the community. When selecting applicants, we try to vary the sectors and regions that will benefit.”
The fund’s success tops a great year for the firm during which it has gone from strength to strength, posting impressive results andclaiming a number of accolades.
