1,000 jobs up for grabs at show

More than 1,000 vacancies are on offer today at a Job Show in Peterborou­gh. A range of high profile companies will have exhibits at the Job Show, which takes place at the at Peterborou­gh United Football Club, in London Road, from 10am to 3pm. The companies at the Job Show include RSA, Interserve Healthcare, Stagecoach East, Ikea, Coloplast, Coca Cola, Busy Bees, Diligenta, Bluebird Care, Voyage Care, Western Union, Domino UK Ltd, PJ Care, Sense, City College, Posh Academy, Reed in Partnershi­p, The Prince’s Trust, National Careers Service and more. There will be a dedicated Training and Apprentice­ship Centre supported by City College offering a range of opportunit­ies for young people and adults and training and adult education to help get those seeking employment back to work. Victoria Clarke, director of The Job Show, said: “We are very excited and thrilled to be celebratin­g so many jobs and apprentice­ships in the New Year. She said: “We have the perfect platform to ‘unite talent with opportunit­y’ and are confident we have something for everyone – if you are looking to improve your prospects, train for a new career, or if you are a young person or adult seeking apprentice­ships or just simply want to get back into work just come along on the day and come face-to- face with exhibitors just waiting to meet you.”
