Pupils ‘graDuatE’ from CamBriDgE

A dozen talented pupils from Ormiston Meadows Academy have successful­ly completed the Brilliant Club programme, culminatin­g in a graduation ceremony at Selwyn College, Cambridge. The Brilliant Club is a charity which widens young people’s access to university by placing PhD candidates in schools to mentor pupils. It already works in a number of Ormiston Academies Trust secondary schools, but Ormiston Meadows is the first primary academy to participat­e. Lizzie Papworth, assistant principal, said: “We are extremely proud of all the pupils who participat­ed in this programme. The graduation from Selwyn College was a truly memorable experience which they will remember for years to come.”
