Awards celebrate firms’ green records

Businesses are being invited to join in a celebratio­n of eco achievemen­ts at the annual national Investors in the Environmen­t (iiE) awards in Peterborou­gh.

The ceremony will celebrate the achievemen­ts of those businesses already part of the scheme and provides a great insight for non-members to discover more about iiE.

Guest speaker will be Phil Williams, the founder and director of Plan-It Eco, an organisati­on that champions the environmen­tal education of schools and businesses.

He will cover the need for businesses to bemorepro-active andinnovat­iveintheir approach to sustainabi­lity, and show the monetary benefits ofacompany­workingtow­ards becoming more sustainabl­e.

Theeventwi­llbeheldat­Pe- terborough’s Kingsgate Conference Centre, Parnwell, on February 21 at 5.30pm.
