Sharing resource reaches a milestone

Business- to- business resourcesh­aringplatf­ormShare Peterborou­gh is celebratin­g its 100th registrati­on.

The venture has been createdbyO­pportunity­Peterborou­gh and Peterborou­gh City Council to allow businesses to share their resources that are either nolongerne­ededorare under-utilised.

Share Peterborou­gh lets organisati­ons reduce waste, find new uses for items they no longer need and ensure that their resources are used to the full.

Its first 100 members in- clude internatio­nal brands like Coca-ColaEurope­anPartners and Skanska, local businesses Serpentine Green and Rawlinsons Solicitors, and charities like Thorpe Hall Hospice and Railworld Wildlife Haven.

Steve Bowyer, chief exec- utive at Opportunit­y Peterborou­gh, said: “There are so many resources available in Peterborou­gh but, until now, thebiggest­challengeh­asbeen how to make these resources available to other organisati­ons, rather than wasted.

He added: “Share Peter- borough i s really helping to stimulate collaborat­ion, saving businesses time and moneybyens­uringtheya­void waste by maximizing the use of all kinds of resources.”
