-

A Peterborough-based office supplies specialist has transformed the working environment for staff of an electronic components distributor.

Walters, of Royce Road, was invited to transform working conditions for employees of Anglia Components of Wisbech, which employs about 150 people and is an independent distributor of semiconductors, optoelectronics, and electromechanical components.

Jill Bowie, operations director for Anglia Components, said: “Walters helped us design an office environment that has exceeded all of our expectations.

She added: “Their professionalism, knowledge and guidance helped us from concept to final installation.

“Throughout that we felt safe and assured that all the decisions made were correct and would look great in the end - and they were not wrong.”

Walters’ interior design expert Darren Tuck said: “Our vast experience in designing, planning and installing complete office refits including LED lighting, enables us to work with large organisations to minimise disruption to their daily operations.

“This even included recycling old furniture where it’s no longer required.

“This project is one of the major installations that we have undertaken in the company’s long history.”

He said the brief for the project was to create a modern, practical environment incorporating collaborativeworkspaces with open-plan offices, individual breakout areas.

There is also a video conference suite to support communication with Anglia’s offices in Hong Kong, plus technology-equipped meeting rooms.

The contemporary fabrics, colour schemes and finishes selected for the interior design go well with a collection of large wall graphics applied to integral storage facilities.
