Hundreds take part in peace march in city centre
The city of Peterborough Peace Parade on Sunday - the 36th annual event - attracted more than 300 people with many locals and people across the UK attending. The parade started at Aldermans Drive , finishing at Faizan e medina masjid. Roses and sweets were handed to the public as act of kindness and sharing love. Deputy Mayor Keith Sharp, Deputy Mayoress Christine Wilson , Police and Crime Commissioner for Cambridgeshire Jason Ablewhite, local entrepreneur Sukhi Wahiwala, Imam Asad Shah, Shaykh Riaz Ahmed, Shaykh Muhammad Asghar, as well as several local councillors, took part.
