JIM JONES & THE RIGHTEOUS MIND

-

Super Natural (MaSonic) Album First album from this band although, of course, mainman Jim Jones has released several records under different guises. The musical MO is the same – hard, swampy modern blues rock. It’s powerful and compelling hold-on-to-yourplectrums stuff. 7 The SolGarden Terrace Sessions brings back the one and only Sam Divine to the Solstice this weekend.

Sam, who is returning to the SolGarden on Saturday, for another full-on night before jetting off to Ibiza the next day, will be joined by resident DJs Steve Andrews and Alex Vacca for another unforgettable night.

Long associated with the legendary Defected Records, Sam Divine has come a long way since being a record shop employee, having spent the last 7 years being a key component to the White Isle’s party scene.

Her travels have seen her tour throughout Europe as well as Brazil, Chile, Japan & Dominican Republic, with festival highlights including We Are FSTVL (UK) and Pacha Festival (The Netherlands) as well as securing a three-year residency at Ushuaia, Ibiza.

Meanwhile, the Eden Room will feature The Eclectic Ballroom and in Solstice Main Room there is DJ Soape and in Harry’s Bar DJ Kizzy.

If the Sixties is more your thing, look out for Bringing On Back The 60s starring New Amen Corner, with guest appearances from 60s icons at The Cresset on June 9. Now more than ever-the genuine article- Mike Pender is the voice of The Searchers. One of the greats to have come out of the Liverpool “Beat Boom”, his is the rich vocal talent so evident on so many of the hit recordings that have become 60s’ classics. With over 50 years of success in the business Mike is still touring worldwide performing The Searchers’ million selling hits such as Sugar and Spice, Sweets For My Sweet , Don’t Throw Your Love Away , When You Walk In The Room and of course Needles and Pins. Also appearing is Mike d’Abo who famously took over from Paul Jones as front man for Manfred Mann and featured on hits such as Just Like A Woman, Semi-Detached Suburban Mr James and Mighty Quinn.
