Walker can’t run very fast any more

-

The good and bad football signings of the summer, England cricket woes...

Wayne Rooney to Everton is a bad signing. He’s a player past his prime and probably going to struggle to make the first XI. I have no doubt a lot of the multi-million transfers to Premier League clubs will be flops as a lot are every season.

@ChestneyS

Is James Vaughan the best striker Sunderland could have signed? He’s not the striker to win promotion for them. Ebbsfleet’s signing of former Posh player Jack Payne is pretty good. He’s better than the National League.

@PaddySkinhead

You should check out Wayne Rooney’s goal in his first Everton friendly. He’s still got it.

@SamHoward

Kyle Walker to Man City for £55m. Crazy money for an over rated full-back who isn’t great at defending.

@Dines_11

Great result for Spurs selling Kyle Walker to City for £50m. Walker is 27, he’s lost his pace, and Kieran Trippier is a better crosser and defender. Top work by Spurs.

England cricket team should sack the selectors.

@ChestneyS

Having seven left-handed batsmen in theEngland Test side was a mistake, especially as Mornie Morkel and Vernon Philander love bowling to left handers. @Markwatson75

English selection is all too woolly brained. Has been for years now. A 66-75% good side doesn’t win and perform.
