Customer testimonial – “I wouldn’t be this happy if I hadn’t got my Bluebird Carers looking after me.”

For Sheila, getting up in the morning can take a long time. However, with the help of her two regular Bluebird Care helpers, she can be up and showered much more swiftly, ready to face the day happy.

“It takes me twice as long to get up on my own, and I really don’t want to spend all morning upstairs”, says Sheila. “Just going to bathroom on my own can take up to one-anda-half hours. I wouldn’t be quite this happy if I hadn’t got my Bluebird Carers looking after me. They are marvellous!”

Bluebird Care Carers visit Sheila, who is wheelchair bound, twice daily, helping her to get up in the morning and supporting her to bed at night. “We do have a bit of banter and start the day with a laugh. Some of the team know me quite well and I know them too. I feel like I can say anything to them. I often talk about my 17 grandchildren and my 6 great grandchildren to them. In addition to this, Sheilas Bluebird Carers help Sheila with household chores such as ironing, loading the dishwasher and washing up, wiping down the sides and taking out the rubbish.

“Nothing seems too much trouble for my Carers – I am very luck with them. I particularly like Michelle. They are patient and I always feel safe.”

Sheila is a young at heart octogenarian. “I’m alright”, she laughs and point to her head. “It’s the bottom half that’s not so good!” Sheila suffers from osteoarthritis in both legs.

“I’m independent and I like doing my own thing. I really wouldn’t like people doing everything for me, but I do fall a lot so I always feel more secure knowing that my Bluebird Carers are coming. Bluebird Care helps keep me happy and secure.”
