Smart night out for music lovers at The Solstice

Kiss FM’s Steve Smart is back in the building on Friday for his monthly residency at The Solstice - part of a big weekend of music at the Northminst­er Road venue.

Steve is one of Kiss FM’s top DJ’s and his show showcases the hottest new dance music to the nation.

He is one of the most exciting and leading figures in UK dance music and radio, presenting the start to the Kiss Weekend with Friday Night Kiss (7-10pm) and Saturday Night Kiss (8pm-11pm) across the UK on the Kiss Network. You will be able to catch him on the first Friday of each month in the SolGarden. He will be joined by resident DJ Alex Vacca and the party carries on until the early hours.

It’s free entry until 11pm.

Saturday’s SolGarden Terrace Session features one the most popular duos on the DJ circuit - CamelPhat.

These guys will be performing live in the SolGarden before jetting off to Ibiza the next day for another full-on night. They will be joined by our resident DJs Steve Andrews and Alex Vacca for another unforgetta­ble night.

n After having to put back the show (from August 11) to Saturday, September 9, The Bluetones are on track to become the first band ever to sell out five consecutiv­e shows at Peterborou­gh’s Met Lounge! The band have played the club four times previously in 2003 and 2005 - and all reached capacity. In the 12 years since the band last played a lot of has changed in the music world, but the band still enjoy a loyal fan base of fans for whom the summers of 19941997 were the peak of musical history as Brit Pop led by the likes of Oasis and Blur with able support from the likes of The Bluetones, The Manic Street Preachers, The Prodigy, Sleeper , Cast etc and more set a musical timewarp for a generation.
