Finalists named for Women Leaders
Organisers impressed by quality of entrants to awards
The finalists for Peterborough’s inaugural Women Leaders awards have been revealed.
Awards founder Jan Flawn says she is delighted at the high standard of entrants for the competition on November 10.
It will take place at the East of England Arena and Events Centre, in Peterborough.
Organisers say they are still looking for sponsors to join the awards.
Jan said: “Peterborough’s first Women Leaders shortlisting has been a complete success.
“I am so thrilled to have received so many nominations from amazing women with amazing stories.
“This is a new event, so it’s very exciting to see the enthusiasm from the city.
“The finalists for Female Entrepreneur and Emerging Leader were by far the toughest decisions to make.
She added: “There were so many impressive nominations, but that is what makes this type of event so exciting.”
Finalists include Carole Hughes from the Anna’s Hope charity, Samantha Hale from Advance Performance, of Peterborough, and Faith Horne, of Roythornes solicitors.
Faith, who is a finalist in the creative industries category, said: “I’m very proud to be a finalist for an award that celebrates strong and successful women in the workplace.
She added: “That these awards even exist shows we’ve come a long way.”
Women Leaders Peterborough headline sponsor is MHA MacIntyre Hudson and all surplus funds will be donated to East Anglian Air Ambulance.
