Help needed to stage parade

-

As many readers will already know, November 11, 2018

marks the centenary of the Armistice that saw the end of fighting in the First World War.

Nearly every family in the country was affected by the war and 100 years later we expect everyone will want to remember those who did not return.

Oundle & District Branch of The Royal British Legion will be making sure the Remembrance

Sunday Parade, which this year poignantly falls on November 11, takes place with as much ceremony as possible.

Our parade takes place at 2.15pm at the War Memorial in Oundle. A lot of preparation and planning goes into it and we can always use volunteers both beforehand and on the day.

If anyone is interested in

assisting or joining our branch in this momentous year (you don’t have to be ex-services to become a member) please contact Les Starks, our Branch Chairman on 01832 270073.

We are also looking for a new Branch Secretary so if you think you can help us out please give Les a call.
