Wisbech man Williams to lead Cambs

Long-serving player James Williams - the Wisbech Town all-rounder - will skipper Cambridgeshire in Minor Counties cricket in 2018 following the retirement of Paul McMahon.

Cambs start their competitive season with an away game in the one-day Unicorns Trophy against Buckinghamshire at High Wycombe.

Cambs take on Suffolk in the Minor Counties T/20 competition at Peterborough Town on May 7.

Wisbech Town host the first Cambs Minor Counties Championship match of the season against Cumberland between June 2426.

Cambs play Hunts in a pre-season friendly at Ramsey this Sunday.
