Diary Of A Bad Dad

- Written by Nigel Thornton www.peterboroughtoday.co.uk @PeterboroughTel

Mrs T is breathing a huge sigh of relief – the holidays are over and the kids are back at school and pre-school. The British weather played its usual tricks, wet and cold before brightening up just as term began.

If the weather’s fine the recipe for happy families is easy. All you have to do is open the back door push the kids into the garden, mix in a supply of water (not for drinking) and allow to simmer until one child or the other launches themselves head first off some play equipment.

None of this is possible of course if it’s chuckin’ down. Bad Dads might be tempted to sit the kids down in front of the telly and stick Trolls on for the 18th time but Good Mums won’t give in so easily.

Mrs T showed me what amazing things you can create with empty toilet rolls (if you can be bothered, of course). Although until she builds a life-size Troll out of those cardboard tubes, she still has room to improve.
