Legal company’s staff get ready to step out to help raise funds for charity

-

More than 25 staff at a Peterborough law firm are getting ready to step out for charity.

The partners and staff of Hegarty Solicitors, in Broadway, plan to walk 34 miles to raise funds for the charity For Rutland, which is looking to provide an adviser for Rutland Citizens Advice. The adviser offers free, confidential and impartial advice to local people affected by cancer, dementia, strokes and other long term health conditions. The walkers will start at Hegarty’s in Peterborough and will finish at the firm’s office in Oakham.

Sean Rowcliffe, partner at Hegarty Solicitors, said: “I am delighted to see so many staff members participating in the charity walk. The walk will help us raise funds for an exceptional cause. ‘

He added: “For Rutland is our charity of the year and the marathon walk is one of many activities we will be organising this year to raise vital funds for this great cause.”
