Jack is honoured by fellow pros
Posh player-of-the-season Jack Marriott has been honoured by his fellow professionals.
The 32-goal striker was named in the PFA League One team-of-the-year this week alongside eight players from either Wigan or Blackburn, Shrewsbury goalkeeper Dean Henderson and Walsall’s former Posh midfielder Erhun Oztumer.
Marriott had already been named in the EFL team of the year for League One, but missed out on selection for the combined Football League team of the year.
Marriott also made the final three in the League One player-of-the-year poll, but lost out to Blackburn midfielder Bradley Dack.
Teenage Posh left-back Lewis Freestone was shortlisted for the League One apprentice of the year prize won by AFC Wimbledon’s Anthony Hartigan.
