City Academy of Ballet showcase
Key Theatre, July 13 and 14 The show will open with a lively Tarantella by senior students, and then pupils from 4 years to adult will perform a variety of classical ballet, contemporary, national and character dances. Beginners’ classes will be portraying the usual mixture of fairy stories and nursery rhymes, whilst older pupils will give their interpretation of ‘Carnival of the Animals’ and perform to excerpts from the musical ‘Oliver’. Senior students will dance to the music of Mascagni and Tchaikovsky.
