Lewis brothers lead the way as Lions roar back from the dead

Rugby - National League Two North

- By Bob French bob.french@jpress.co.uk

Peterborough Lions 28, Sheffield Tigers 27. Wow! Nobody saw that coming.

The formbook certainly didn’t suggest a Lions win and the way the city side played for an hour most definitely didn’t.

They were run ragged by the visitors from Yorkshire in the first half and with just 20 minutes to go trailed 27-7.

They had a mountain to climb and another defeat was on the cards. Sinking deeper into the National League Two North relegation mire beckoned.
