One thing’s for sure, A Place To Call Home must surely have made a star of willowy blonde Marta Dusseldorp ( pictured) who has dominated throughout as nurse Sarah Adams who returned to Oz from England after WW2 with emotional baggage and secrets. But on the ship she met wealthy businessma­n and politician George Bligh (Brett Climo) and a spark exploded. After many setbacks and shocks, and initial opposition from Bligh family matriarch Elizabeth (the superb character actress Noni Hazlehurst) their love story is completed with a baby and marriage.
