DVD £7.99

Ageing movie action heroes don’t fade away while their names still sell a film, as Bruce Willis and Jean-Claude Van Damme demonstrate.

In 10 Minutes Gone, Willis plays second fiddle to Michael Chiklis who earned his hard-man credentials on hit TV series The Shield. Bruce, whose twinkle died hard many years ago, plays Rex, who runs a crew of mercenaries to carry out bank robberies. When a client wants a metal case stolen from a bank vault, Rex brings in safecracker Frank (Chiklis) who enrols some buddies to help. But, of course the plan goes wrong, the cops are waiting and as a shoot-out ensues, Frank tries to escape but is knocked out. When he wakes up the case’s gone and he’s got amnesia and can’t remember who betrayed him. He needs to remember quick and get the case back – or he’s a dead man!

In We Die Young (Signature, cert 15, DVD £7.99) JeanClaude will be in no danger of meeting the fate suggested by the title. He plays mute, drug addicted ex-marine Daniel who’s suffering PTSD but vows to rescue 10-year-old drug runner Lucas (Elijah THE MUMMY REBIRTH High Fliers, cert 15 DVD £7.99 If you thought the Boris Karloff original, the Brendan Fraser trilogy and then the glossy Tom Cruise version had wrapped up the whole Mummy horror film possibilities, you were wrong. THE CURSE

OF LILITH RATCHET High Fliers, cert 18 DVD £7.99 ‘She took her lover’s head, and if you say the rhyme, you’ll soon be dead’ – as Alice and best friend Lauren discover when they come across a shrunken head and plan to reveal their find to the world.

Oops, they didn’t realise by playing the game and calling her name, the demonic spirit of Lilith Ratchet would be unleashed...and she’s not a nice undead old lady. It’s a shock for paranormal podcast host Hunter Perry who thought the girls’ story would be a ratings boost for his Beyond The Veil show when Lilith shows up. Hammy horror fun.

Name another paranormal film. Entries to Alex Gordon, Lilith competition.
