Head Coach Ben Negus, said: “This is a great starter meet. Missing five of last year’s medalling team due to them going off to university, we had to rely on our young up and coming talent and they impressed.

“This time last year, Harriet Salisbury, finished in a highest spot of fifth and seventh in the 800m and 400m freestyle. This year she is senior champion of both events. She is just one example of some great progressions and skill focus paying off in the first 8 weeks of the year.”

“I’m looking forward to our COPS Meet and Winter Nationals to see how we progress as a club from this first cycle.”

Trials for new junior members from local Learn To Swim programmes will be held at the Regional Pool on Monday, November 25 at 6.30pm.
