RE: Tributes to one of Peterborough’s greatest figures who left a “legacy which is

unequalled” I have immense admiration for Wyndham. His sense and vision were remarkable but combined with personal humility. I was for some years a member of the Peterborough Housing Forum (sadly now disbanded) where his experience and advice was invaluable. I often think this city would be a better place if the DC had continued looking after development and the environment instead of handing it back to our councillors. Peter Slinger A great personality who did so much for our great city. Condolences to the bereaved family. Thoughts are with his loved ones. Ansar Ali

A great visionary. Said that Rivergate was a waste of time and the site should have been used as an events venue. The council should have listened! Nic James

Peterborough owes a debt of gratitude to this man. It was a great shame when the Development Corporation was disbanded. Jason Yexley

I moved to Peterborough in the mid 90s. The parkways were a brilliant idea, and I have very fond memories at Ferry Meadows. May he R.I.P. Condolences to his family and friends. Lucy Oliver RIP Wyndham Thomas - we may not all agree with everything the DC did but overall what a great visionary he was. Christine Wadsley-Cunningham I knew him personally from working for his neighbour and working presently for one of his associates, who will be saddened to learn of his passing, as am I. Awesome person. Deepest condolences to his family and friends. RIP Lanks Patel

He did a great job. Unfortunately Peterborough council haven’t kept up to his standards. They seem hellbent on ruining the city. Kathrin Roberts Very clever man with great foresight. RIP Sue Pickard
