Peterborough & District Junior Alliance League teams are on a festive break, so it’s the perfect time to assess the progress of the under 12, under 13 and under 14 divisions.

As usual some teams have been dominant, but the race for honours in other divisions will go down to the wire.

UNDER 12s

Division One has been keenly contested with Werrington Athletic on top, just ahead of Bourne Claret.

Both teams won last weekend with Edward Nottle (2) and Billy Foulger on target for Werrington in a 3-1 win at One Touch.

Peterborough Northern Star, also winners last weekend, have the games in hand to make a challenge.

In Division Two leaders Yaxley Black are being chased hard by Holbeach Black and unbeaten Deeping Rangers Blues. Leon Rist scored five as Yaxley thrashed Leverington 11-2 last weekend.

Crowland Black and Hampton Robins both boast perfect winning records in Division Three. Crowland are six points clear after goals from Dylan Enright, George Houghton, Kelton Kiernan, Connor King and Liam Moore secured a ninth straight win, 5-2 against Glinton & Northborough Navy.

Spalding Blue are in control of Division Four, while Glinton & Northborough Navy are level on points with March Academy Blue at the top of Di

vision Five.

Top scorers: Division One: 14 Stephen Pereira (PNS White). Division Two: 22 Harvey Wilkes (Deeping Rangers). Division Three: 14 Liam Moore (Crowland Black). Division Four: 18 Taylor Stacey (Spalding Blue). Division Five: 22 Finley Hardy (Glinton & Northborough Amber).

UNDER 13s

Stamford Reds are in charge of Division One, but face a strong challenge for the title from Deeping Rangers Blue. Both teams are unbeaten with Henry Moxley scoring the only goal of the game for Stamford against Peterborough Northern Star White last weekend.

Parkside Athletic Blue are top of Division Two. They’ve

only played four league games though, winning them all, the latest 6-2 at Stanground Sports when Cameron Cook scored four goals. Nene Valley are also unbeaten.

Thorpe Wood Rangers have dominated Division Three all season. They have a nine-point lead, but they will have an eye on unbeaten Boston Community who have several games in hand.

Wittering lost for the first time in Division Four last weekend, 4-3 at Blackstones, but are still four points clear at the top. Lucca Frampton-Harrison scored twice for Stones.

Division Five is extremely close with five teams separated by just a point including

city sides, ICA, Park Farm Pumas Black, Park Farm Pumas Blue and Parkside Yellow.

Joint-leaders ICA dropped points in a 2-2 draw at Whittlesey Royals last weekend. Harvey Brownlie and Liam Goodley scored for ICA.

In Division Three unbeaten sides Sawtry Blue Sox and Thurlby Tigers will expect to overhaul current leaders Hungate, but Peterborough Northern Star look to have the Division Four title sewn up already. They are 14 points clear after 10 straight wins and boast the top scorer in the entire Junior Alliance in 32-goal Blaze Snell.
