Ambler’s hat-trick means City can keep mixing it with the best

Ross Ambler’s hat-trick saw City of Peterborough through to the third round of the National Mixed Cup.

City were losing semi-finallists in this competition two seasons ago and are keen for another good run.

They found it tough at Norwich Dragons last weekend though with Ambler’s National League first-team quality proving the difference.

They pushed a strong Kettering side hard before accepting a 3-1 defeat at Bretton Gate. Lynn Sullivan scored the City goal from a short corner.
