FIVE THINGS FOR YOUR WEEK...

-

Killing Eve

BBC iPlayer, from Mon, 6am

The first two series are already available to stream, but let’s face it, what we really want to see is the third run. Well, it’s here at last. The last time we saw the central characters, Villanelle shot Eve, leaving fans with one helluva cliffhanger to deal with. When we pick up with them again, Eve is dead to Villanelle, but very much alive to everyone else. She’s hiding in plain sight, hoping that her nemesis won’t come looking for her. Life seems to be reverting back to normal when a shocking death sets them on a collision course once again. The series also debuts on BBC One from Easter Sunday. Pictured, below, is Jodie Comer as Villanelle.

Britain’s Got Talent ITV, 8pm, Sunday

Simon Cowell’s juggernaut is back, but not quite how we know it. The series has been split in two, with the opening part concentrating on the audition rounds, which were filmed some time ago. We’re then promised that the live finals – which can’t currently take place due to social distancing – will turn up later in the year.

Bumblebee Channel 4, 5.45pm, Sunday

The robots in disguise receive a welcome and sweetly sentimental reboot in the sixth instalment of the Transformers franchise. Optimus Prime dispatches energetic recruit B-127 to Earth to establish a base of operations. But during a skirmish with Decepticon warrior Blitzwing, B-127 loses his vocal processor unit and his core memory is damaged, and only just manages to transform into a yellow Volkswagen Beetle shortly before his circuits shut down. Plucky teenager Charlie Watson salvages the car from her local scrapyard and is stunned to discover the weather-beaten car is a shape-shifting robot. She christens him Bumblebee and agrees to keep her mechanised pal safe. Hailee Steinfeld (Pitch Perfect) stars in the family-friendly origin story.

Charles & Camilla: King and Queen in Waiting Channel 5, 9.25pm, Saturday

A look at the relationship between the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall, investigating how the pair met and the tumultuous beginnings of their romance. From forbidden love that caused scandal in the palace, to Camilla winning the hearts of the nation after becoming the prince’s second wife, it has been quite a journey for the royal couple. The programme also explores what might be expected from Charles’s reign when he becomes king and whether people will accept Camilla as queen.
