A47 crash: Six taken to hospital

Six people were injured in a crash on the A47 in Peterborou­gh.

Emergency services were called just after 9.50pm on Saturday to a collision on the A47 at Bretton.

The collision involved two cars, one of which left the carriagewa­y and careered into a wooded area.

Six people were taken to Peterborou­gh City Hospital with minor injuries.

As a result of the collision the eastbound carriagewa­y of the A47 was closed. The road was reopened just after midnight.

Police are appealing for witnesses as they try and find what caused the crash.
