A leading engineering company has reshaped its senior management team as expands its services to customers worldwide.

Stainless Metalcraft, based in Chatteris, has announced the changes as the company looks to grow its work especially in the nuclear and medical technologies sectors.

The new-look top team involves the promotion of operations director Ian Bannister to managing director who will be supported by new business development director Martin Lawrence, and HSE compliance director Martin Johnson, who also takes on a wider divisional role.

Chris Duggan, who joined the company five years ago to manage a Sellafield contract, has been promoted to programme director.

Mr Bannister said: “I’m excited to take on this new role within the business leading a hugely talented team.

“The business has a strong history for developing highquality solutions to performance-critical engineering challenges and we have ambitious plans to build on this with renewed focus over the coming years.

“With the expanded scope of a number of key roles among our senior management team, our aim is to offer an expanded range of services to customers, particularly across the nuclear and medical technologies industries.

Austen Adams, divisional managing director of Avingtrans’ PSRE division, which owns Metalcraft, said: “While the last 12 months have been challenging for businesses, Metalcraft has continued to demonstrate its ability to deliver to the highest standards for customers across a range of industries.”
