FIVE THINGS FOR YOUR WEEK...

-

Heels StarzPlay, from Sunday

If you lapped up every episode of women’s wrestling drama Glow, then make a space in your binge-watching diary for this series, set in a close-knit Georgia community. Stephen Amell and Alexander Ludwig, right, slather on the baby oil and flex their muscles as brothers and wrestling rivals, Jack Spade and (the imaginatively named) Ace Spade. When they’re not in the ring knocking seven bells out of each other, they’re bickering over their late father’s legacy: the family-owned wrestling organisation. Professionally, one of them must play the good guy, and the other must play their nemesis: the heel. However, in the real world, those characters can be hard to live up to and equally difficult to leave behind.

Living Wild: How to Change Your Life C4, 8pm, Saturday

Sophie Morgan heads to the Cornish coastal town of Falmouth, where Jade and Brynn have swapped minimum-wage jobs for a life at sea. Meanwhile, in the heart of their own Devon woodland, Pete and Anna explain how they achieved their ambition to live closer to nature by running a charcoal burning business. Plus, there’s Sinead and Adam who moved to Sussex to start their own edible flower farm business just a few weeks before the pandemic, and in Cheshire, Joanna has found a way to combine home with work, opening a floating salon on a barge.

The Secret World of Crisps C4, 8pm, Sunday

Last Sunday Channel 4 broadcast a documentary about chocolate. The broadcaster continues its focus on snacks by turning its attention to crisps. Once again, Dawn French is behind the microphone as the narrator, regaling viewers with fascinating facts about the nation’s multi-million-pound crisp industry, which is ruled by such brands as Smiths, Golden Wonder and Walkers.

Team GB Homecoming Concert by The National Lottery BBC1, 7.30pm, Sunday

The delayed Tokyo Olympics have proved hugely popular with viewers, perhaps because once again, Team GB athletes made a big impression. What has been odd, however, is the lack of fans in the arenas – continuing coronavirus concerns meant that no members of the public were allowed to watch any of the events first-hand. But now, as our heroes return to good old Blighty, 8,000 supporters – including friends and family as well as key workers – will be able to watch this celebratory concert at The SSE Arena in Wembley.

Baptiste BBC1, 9pm, Sunday

The penultimate episode of the thrilling crime drama is here, but whether we’ll be any closer to working out what is going on remains to be seen. Emma and Julien still appear to be in the dark, and if they can’t figure out the true identity of Gomorrah, then they may as well give up – not that either of them is throwing in the towel yet.
