Frustration at road closure
Development: Temporary 30mph speed limit to follow during construction
A busy north-east road which was due to reopen earlier this month will now remain closed for up to two more months.
And there will also be a reduced speed limit in place to allow works to be carried out as part of the £1billion Stewart Milne housing development at Countesswells.

Blacktop and Skene Road, will not reopen for another eight weeks in the run-up to Christmas.
WM Donald, the main contractor, confirmed this was to allow them to impose a temporary 30mph speed limit, as the prelude to the firm carrying out construction work in the area.
During the closure, a detour will be available via Baillieswell Road and Ladyhill Road, which will enable travellers coming from Blacktop to Countesswells Road to continue their journey.
A spokeswoman for the contractors said: “The 3,000-home Stewart Milne project at Countesswells will include 750 affordable properties, schools, parks, healthcare facilities, and spaces for medium to small-sized businesses.
“The 30mph speed limit will remain in place until construction works in the area, relating to bringing services on site, are completed. The road will then be re-designated to a 40mph limit.”
Earlier this year, there was anger among a number of residents after developers delayed reopening a section of Countesswells Road.
Last night, a north-east MSP revealed that a number of constituents had raised concerns with him about the delays.
Ross Thomson said: “There’s a real sense of frustration in the community. I think residents have been fairly understanding about the delays so far, but it seems like they are being taken advantage of.”
Meanwhile, access to Countesswells Woods will be clear from Monday, with the car park also reopened.
However, Countesswells Road will be closed to all motorists except for access between the Kingswells roundabout and the route’s junction with Blacktop Road.
