- BY CHRIS JAFFRAY

Cala Homes will begin work on a multimillionpound development in Cults early next year.

The developers obtained planning permission earlier this month for the site at Craigbank and will now build 119 new homes.

There will be a range of three to five-bedroom properties and a number of these have been designated as affordable housing.

Alongside this, there will also be investment in a sports and recreation area for residents.

The construction firm previously built the nearby Rosefield Gardens and Hayfield Grange development.

Mike Naysmith, the developer’s managing director in the north of Scotland, described the Cults area as “highly sought after”.

He added: “Cults is an area that we have great experience with and know the market extremely well.

now in prime position to transform it into a vibrant new residential community that will give us a presence in Cults until 2021.

“This is an exciting new development which will help us to build on our rich heritage in Aberdeen and we look forward to bringing Cults Park to life over the coming months.”
