Happy Wanderers go joint top after successful Borders raid

Granite City Wanderers beat Borders Fjordhus Reivers 3-0 away to move joint top of women’s hockey’s National League Division 2 alongside GHK.

AAM Merlins Gordonians shared four goals with St Andrews University and slipped down to fourth spot.

In the Championsh­ip Division A, Aberdeen University went down 3-0 to MCC Western 2nds.

In North District Division 1, Aberdeen Grammar FPs still have a 100% record after a 2-0 win against Aberdeen Ladies at Rubislaw and top the division – three points ahead of Bon Accord MBC, who beat Granite City Wanderers 3rds 6-0.

There were away wins for Granite City Wanderers 2nds against Quasar at Elgin and Aberdeen University 2nds against Highland in Inverness.

In Division 2 AAM Merlins Gordonians 3rds moved to the top with a 6-0 win against Aberdeen Bon Accord MBC 2nds.

Hazlehead moved into third spot when they beat Granite City Wanderers 4ths 6-0.
