Draper’s raging has Foran raving

-

Richie Foran welcomed the display of rage from Caley Thistle midfielder Ross Draper at being substituted during Saturday's poor display against Kilmarnock.

On a day when he bemoaned the lack of spark and passion in the home performance, the Inverness manager felt Draper's show of displeasure was a natural reaction.

The towering 28-year-old kicked the advertising hoarding and whacked the dugout wall in what initially looked like a dramatic show of dissent as he exited play after only 55 minutes.

But on closer inspection Draper also returned his manager's pat on the back suggesting his anger was reserved more for his own performance on the day, rather than Foran's decision.

Foran, who described the Caley Jags display as flat at times, is comfortable with his players demonstrating their passion and commitment.

The Irishman said: “Ross is disappointed in his performance. He's frustrated – he had one of those games where it couldn't go right for him. He's been immense for us and we missed him at the start of the season. All the lads coming off should be frustrated. They got their heads down in training yesterday and grafted away. I've got no problem with a reaction like that."

Foran, though, will be demanding more control from his players when they travel to face Motherwell tomorrow.
