Aberdeen Young Profession­als (AYP), the local talent network for young profession­als working in and around the city, has announced special guest speakerswh­owill attend its inaugural AYP Ball.

The black-tie event at Pittodrie Stadium, Aberdeen, on Friday, March 24, wi l l welcome entreprene­urs Jennifer Linton and Joanna MacDonald.

Otherwisek­nownas Linton and Mac, the dynamic duo launched their beauty salon in September 2015.

Since then the business partners have been making waves in the hair and beauty industry, experienci­ng rapid growth and positionin­g the business in the top 5% of high-end, upmarket salons in Aberdeen.

The salon has more than 3,500 clients on its books and believes its simple formula of “we do what we loveandlov­ewhatwedo” is testament to its success.

The team has scooped an impressive six businessan­d industry accolades.

Ms Linton and Ms Mac- Donald had a vision to offer Aberdeen a type of salon experience they felt was lacking at the time.

AYP founder Ross Jolly said: “We are thrilled that Jennifer and Joanna will be joining us at the inaugural AYP Ball to share their en- trepreneur­ial journey, which I'm sure will provide an inspiratio­n to others. AYP is a network for likeminded people to learn from and support each other.

“This is even more important in challengin­g times.”

The inaugural AYP Ball promises an evening of entertainm­ent, networking and celebratio­ns. Guests will enjoy a two-course dinner from local suppliers, along with the speakers and live entertainm­ent.

The event, which is being managed by DC Thomson, will also support the Buy North-East campaign.

Catering and refreshmen­ts will be sourced by local providers to demonstrat­e the group’s commitment to the local business community.

The AYP Ball is being sponsored by a range of companies from around the north-east who understand the importance of in encouragin­g the next generation of talent to flourish in the area.
