City and country lifestyle at Ness Castle
Choosing the right location is one of the most important factors when deciding on the perfect new home. Your surroundings, nearby amenities and your connection with the local community influence every aspect of life and undoubtedly impact on where you decide to settle.
Situated just three miles from Inverness city centre, yet surrounded by Highland countryside, Barratt Homes’ Ness Castle development boasts a peaceful location with easy access to the bustling city.
Ness Castle’s three and four-bedroom homes have proven extremely popular since launch, enjoyed by families keen to make the most of the development’s many assets including scenic views, picturesque walking routes and, of course, the iconic shores of Loch Ness close by.
Three-bedroom Esslemont homeowner Miss Catherine Weir, and Mrs Shona Gannon who purchased a four-bedroom Balmoral, are just two residents who along with their families have been loving life at Ness Castle since moving in.
Shona said: “We moved into our new home last year and have loved every moment. The property is perfect for our family but one of my favourite factors is the amount of green space that we have.
“Our rear garden is perfectly landscaped, providing a sheltered space for us to enjoy family barbecues, but what’s more, we also have a large area of green space at the front of the house.
“This is a great spot that gives the development a real ‘wow’ factor, but also a community feel. In the summer, children of all ages can be seen playing here together and that’s something that, as a family, we really appreciate.
“The location of our new home is amazing. We may only be a short drive from the city centre but it really does feel like we are living in the countryside.
“We often see wildlife from our garden or whilst on local walks. The children have spotted deer and we regularly hear owls calling in the evening. I often have a Snow White moment in the spring as I draw the curtains in the morning and listen to birds chirping.”
Catherine also sang the praises of the development. She said: “As a family of three, with another little one on the way, we were keen to choose a new home which benefited from nearby amenities yet still had a quiet setting.
“For both my fiancé and I, the selling point was that Ness Castle is a five-minute drive from the banks of Loch Ness, yet also a fiveminute drive in the opposite direction to the city centre.
“Everything we need is on our doorstep, including local shops and restaurants as well as a primary school where our daughter will attend in just a couple of years. In fact, this is the primary school that I attended, so it couldn’t be more perfect.”
