Chemistry Week events in city

A week of chemistrythemed activities will be held in Aberdeen next week as part of an annual celebration of the science.

The city’s two universities have teamed up to organise a series of events to coincide with the UK-wide Chemistry Week.

These feature a lecture from forensic pathologist Professor James Grieve, whose work allowed police to reopen the inves- tigation into wife-killer Malcolm Webster. Elsewhere, Aberdeen Science Centre will host a “takeover” event with pop-up chemistry activities for families including magic writing and making volcanoes.
