SNP inaction over referendum debate
SIR, – Perhaps many of the readers missed the excellent debate in Westminster Hall this week when the motion “Another Scottish independence referendum should not be allowed to happen” was debated.
The debate was the result of a petition that gained well in excess of 200,000 signatures when only 100,000 signatures are required to qualify for such a debate. Those who watched this could only be astounded that less than half of the SNP MPs attended, with only three electing to speak in defence of the statement. The lack of engagement and interest from nationalist MPs begs the question, what are they
