Events to focus on use of grass

Livestock farmers in the north and north-east are invited to meetings later this month to find out how to make better use of grass.

Organised by red meat levy body Quality Meat Scotland, the events take place at the Thainstone Centre, Inverurie, on Friday, November 24, and Dingwall Mart on Monday, November 27.

The key speaker is James Daniel, of Precision Grazing Ltd, who will highlight the different fencing and watering solutions to aid grazing management. “Getting the grazing infrastructure as right as possible at the outset without breaking the bank, will make adopting a rotational system an easier, smoother transition.” Events start at 10am and are free to attend.
