There are no WAPS prices for last week because the sample contained prices from two major industry suppliers contributing over 50% of the tonnage surveyed. The WAPS prices are designed to be a representation of the entire potato industry. Demand remained flat in the English packing market last week. With more growers completing lifting there has been less surplus off the field coming on to the market. This has resulted in prices remaining stable, though there were some reports that the market was beginning to feel firmer. The Scottish packing market was largely unchanged with prices and demand remaining steady. Trade remained steady in the bag market, with prices showing minimal change.
